Our Craftsmanship

Sustainable yarns from inner Mongolia

At Botiboty, the quality of our cashmere isn’t just a promise; it’s a guarantee. To achieve this, we’ve chosen to partner with “Consinee,” an exceptional supplier renowned in the luxury sector. Our choice of their “Aurora” range was no accident, representing the pinnacle of fiber in terms of quality. What truly sets Consinee apart isn’t just the superiority of their products, but also their commitment to sustainable and transparent production. Holding ISO 9001 and 14001 standards, these certifications attest to their excellence in quality management and environmental management.

Going beyond certifications, Consinee has introduced an innovative QR code system, allowing Botiboty to trace the exact origin of the cashmere, right down to the specific farm it comes from. This unparalleled transparency underlines the authenticity and integrity of each thread. Consinee is globally recognized as the sole certified green cashmere factory and exclusive producer of organic cashmere. Notably, they’re the sole Asian cashmere producer at a prestigious Italian luxury exhibition, showcasing their industry influence. As a pivotal member of WAP and initiator of ICCAW, Consinee leads in animal welfare. Botiboty’s partening with Consinee means embracing a visionary ally dedicated to reshaping the cashmere industry positively.

Indulge in the unparalleled luxury of cashmere, where elegance meets comfort in every thread.

Malagasy craftsmanship

Many leading European luxury brands have long recognized Madagascar’s exceptional expertise in cashmere clothing production, discreetly choosing to outsource their manufacturing there. However, Botiboty has taken a different approach. Instead of remaining silent about the origin of its products, Botiboty proudly highlights Malagasy talent and craftsmanship, celebrating the country not only as a place of production but also as a symbol of quality and excellence in cashmere.

Here are the important steps for the manufacture of our cashmeres:

  1. Knitting

Performed electronically with machines specifically programmed to execute the design intricacies, the programming

task is managed by skilled programmers, each of whom undergoes an intensive 3-year training to master this craft.

  2. Liking

Referring to the process of joining together the pieces of a knitted garment, such as attaching sleeves

to the body, in a manner that maintains the continuous look of the knit.

  3. Stitching

Hand linking is one of the exceptional skills of our tailoring workshop.

This technique, handed down for many years, involves re-knitting each stitch of the knit, one by one, to create

a perfectly smooth and seamless finish. To ensure the best resistance, reinforcing stitches are also made.

Although this know-how is rare and complex, the linkers implement their expertise and meticulousness to create

garments of exceptional quality and incomparable comfort.

  4. Washing

This step is what gives the cashmere garment its softness.

Before this, the yarn is made rough so that the stitches cling to each other and are easier to work with.

This is why the more you wash your cashmere, the softer it will become.

  5. Embroidery

The logo is carefully embroidered on each of our pieces.

  6. Finishing

Involving adding labels, buttons, zippers, and conducting a final quality control check to ensure the garment meets

    the desired standards.
